Dua for Allah's Love

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَالْعَمَلَ الَّذِي يُبَلِّغُنِي حُبَّكَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuka wal-'amala alladhi yuballighuni hubbak.

"O Allah, I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You, and the deeds that will bring me closer to Your love."

Dua of Prophet Yunus

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin.

"There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."

(Quran, Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:87)

Hadith on Allah's Love

إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا نَادَى جِبْرِيلَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلَانًا فَأَحِبَّهُ فَيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ...

Idha ahabb Allahu 'abdan, nada Jibrila: Inna Allaha yuhibbu fulanan fa-ahibbah. Fa yuhibbuhu Jibrilu...

"When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibril (Gabriel) and says: 'Indeed, Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then Jibril loves him, and he announces in the heavens, 'Indeed, Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then the inhabitants of the heavens love him, and he is granted acceptance on earth."

Hadith on Companionship for Allah's Sake

قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي جَلَالِي لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ يَغْبِطُهُمُ النَّبِيُّونَ وَالشُّهَدَاءُ

Qala Allahu 'azza wa jall: Al-mutahabuna fi jalali lahum manabirun min nurin yaghbituhum al-nabiyuna wal-shuhada.

"Allah (SWT) said: 'Those who love each other for My sake shall have pulpits of light, which the Prophets and martyrs will envy.'"
