Duas for Confidence and Trust in Allah

Dua for Strength and Protection

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa dala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal.

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men."

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Dua for Reliance on Allah

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Hasbiya Allahu la ilaha illa Huwa, 'alayhi tawakkaltu, wa Huwa Rabbul-'arshil-'azim.

"Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."

(Quran, Surah At-Tawbah, 9:129)

Hadith on Allah's Knowledge of His Servant

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعَبْدَ التَّقِيَّ الْغَنِيَّ الْخَفِيَّ

Inna Allaha yuhibbu al-'abda at-taqiyya, al-ghaniyya, al-khafiyya.

"Verily, Allah loves the pious, self-sufficient, hidden servant."

(Sahih Muslim)

Hadith on the Believer's Strength

الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللّٰهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ، وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ

Al-mu'minu al-qawiyyu khayrun wa ahabbu ila Allahi min al-mu'mini al-da'if, wa fi kullin khayrun.

"A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in both."

(Sahih Muslim)
