Duas for Firmness in Faith

Dua for Steadfastness in Faith

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik.

"O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion."

(At-Tirmidhi)

Dua for a Sound Heart

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba'da idh hadaitana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka antal-Wahhab.

"Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower."

(Quran, Surah Ali 'Imran, 3:8)

Hadith on the Heart

إِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلُحَتْ صَلُحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، أَلاَ وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ

Inna fil-jasadi mudghatan idha salahat salahal-jasadu kulluhu, wa idha fasadat fasadal-jasadu kulluhu, ala wa hiya al-qalb.

"Indeed, there is a piece of flesh in the body, if it is righteous, the whole body is righteous, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart."

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Hadith on Allah's Closeness

قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِي

Qal Allahu 'azza wa jall: 'Ana 'inda dhanni 'abdi bi, wa ana ma'ahu idha dhakarani.'

"Allah the Almighty said: 'I am as My servant thinks I am, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself, and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that.'"
