Seeking Clarity and Guidance

When the path forward seems unclear and the heart is unsettled, we find solace in turning to Allah. He is the All-Knowing, the Giver of Guidance, and our ultimate source of clarity.

Remember: **Istikhara (seeking guidance) is the key to resolving confusion and finding peace in your decisions.**

A Quranic Verse on Seeking Knowledge

وَقُلْ رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

"And say, 'My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'"

(Surah Taha, 20:114)

A Hadith on Seeking Guidance in All Matters

Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported: **"The Prophet (ﷺ) used to teach us the way of Istikhara (seeking guidance from Allah) in all matters, just as he used to teach us the Surahs of the Qur'an."**

(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 7390)

Dua for Istikhara (Abbreviated)

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ

Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi-'ilmika, wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, wa as'aluka min fadlika al-'azimi

"O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek ability from Your power, and I ask You from Your great bounty."

Dua for Inner Peace

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي

Rabbi ashrah li sadri

"O my Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]."

(Quran, Surah Taha, 20:25)

Dua for Firmness in Faith

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

Ya Muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik

"O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion."
